Marcasite is the short film I produced in my second year of my BA Animation course. I am very proud to say that it has been shortlisted for the O Bheal Winter Warmer Poetry film festival in Ireland. The film was made as part of a project presented to our cohort in collaboration with Forward Arts. We were given a list of poems to choose from and the warmth and wholesomeness of Marcasite resonated with me. I wanted to reciprocate that feeling in my short film so I went for a hand drawn animation with warm colours and simple line work.
